Brussels, 25/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is proposing to relax rules on air slot allocation to take account of disturbances linked to the war in Iraq and the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome outbreak in Southeast Asia. It has presented draft amendments to the "slot" regulation, which will allow airlines to keep their slots in 2004 despite the drop in traffic during the summer 2003 season (March to October 2003).
