MEPs welcome compromise with Council on "Intelligent Energy for Europe" programme but still want European agency to be set up

Brussels, 25/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Industry, Trade, Research and Energy Committee (ITRE) at the European Parliament approved in second reading, the "Intelligent Energy for Europe" programme, a multiannual programme covering 2003-2006 and which replaces the current framework programme that expired on 31 December 2002.
