Go ahead for joint acquisition of bingo and casino operator by Candover and Cinven

Brussels, 17/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised two UK companies providing investment and management advice services, Candover and Cinven, to jointly acquire the UK bingo and casino operator Gala. The Commission's investigation showed that Candover has a controlling interest in a holiday centre operator that provides bingo games to its guests, but this can be differentiated from the "commercial bingo" offered by Gala so the deal will to give rise to competition...
