13/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - As we mentioned, Jens-Peter Bonde, President of the EDD in the European Parliament and member of the European Convention, accused the presidium of not having implemented the rules of transparency enshrined by Article 255 of the Treaty (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.15). Bonde, who had asked for access to all the notes established by the Convention's Secretariat and all other contributions received by the Secretariat but not yet published, says that he appeal has been underwritten by Sylvia-Yvonne Kaufmann (German, PDS), Johannes Voggenhuber (Austrian, Green) and Christiana Muscarini (Italian UEN). "If we don't receive a satisfactory reply from the Presidium, we shall take the case to the European Ombudsman", the Danish MEP announced, recalling in passing that the work of the Presidium was "financed by taxpayers' money".
