Parliament supports Commission efforts to find agreement on medicines to poor countries

Strasbourg, 13/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - By adopting the common resolution of the EPP-ED, PES, Greens/EFA and GUE/NGL on the authorisation of generic medicines in the context of the WTO, the European Parliament has given its support to the efforts made by the Commission to find a multilateral solution in according the WHO a consultative role for implementing the Declaration of Doha on supplying generic medicines to developing countries that do not have the capability to produce medicines and...
