Brussels, 11/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - At 18.00 on Tuesday, the North Atlantic Council began a further extraordinary meeting, at ambassadorial level, to try to find a solution to the division which has been confirmed within its body over the American requests for Alliance support should Turkey suffer reprisals on the part of Iraq, if a military operation is triggered against Baghdad. France, Germany and Belgium, while saying they are prepared to meet their obligations of solidarity with the Turkish Ally, repeated that first time had to be given to the UN inspectors. Two meetings at the same level, Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, bore no fruit.
