Following their election victory, Christian Democrats say they are not planning to increase Lower Saxony's stake in VW

Brussels, 03/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - German Christian Democrats (the CDU) who won a landslide victory in Lower Saxony's regional elections said on Monday that they were not planning to increase the Land's stake in Volkswagen. The CDU Secretary General told reporters that the stake in VW was not on the agenda. Lower Saxony's Minister President designate, Christian Wulff, said last month that if his party won, it would increase the Land's stake in Volkswagen (currently around 20%) to protect...
