03/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Manuel Durao Barroso said that, if Antonio Vitorino, European Commissioner for Justice and Home Affairs (and former Portuguese Defence Minister), stood to succeed Lord Robertson as NATO Secretary General, the Portuguese Government would back his candidacy "with pleasure".
