Brussels, 03/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - Next week's European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg will discuss WTO negotiations on Monday, medicines (see EUROPE of 30 January, p.13) and agriculture (see EUROPE of 29 January, p.10).. On the same day, the Commission will make a declaration on the Davos Economic Forum and the Porto Alegre Social Forum (see EUROPE of 28 January, p.16). On Wednesday, Council and Commission will present their priorities for the Spring Summit of 21/22 March in Brussels (see EUROPE of 16 January, pages 10 to 12). On Tuesday, alongside the report on the ecopoints controversy (see EUROPE of 29 January, p.15), the EP will discuss public health (see EUROPE of 29 January, p.15 on combating HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis, and 25 January, p.15, on breast implants). Also on Tuesday, there will be a big debate on the information society (see EUROPE of 29 January, p.16) and consumer policy will be discussed on Thursday.
