20/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Court of Human Rights declared as admissible six cases lodged against Russia for events in Chechnya. These cases concern allegations by which members of the families of the plaintiffs are said to have been victims of torture and summary executions committed by soldiers of the Russian army in Grozny, as well as indiscriminate bombing by that army on civilians fleeing the city in 1999 and 2000.
