Commission sends reasoned opinions to eight Member States to encourage them to implement Community rules relating to cableway installations

Brussels, 13/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - So as to guarantee the same level of safety regarding the laying of cables (Funicular railways, cable cars, chair-lifts, drag lifts, etc.) throughout the EU, the European Commission decided on Monday to send reasoned opinions to Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria and the United Kingdom.
