USA win in case of subsidies for German steel

Brussels, 29/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The USA have won their case at the World trade Organisation (WTO) in the trans-Atlantic dispute over US protectionist trade practices. Called to Washington and Brussels to rectify the arbitration decision on the measures for compensation for German steel producers for the subsidies received after their privatisation, the appeals body finally decided in favour of the US on one essential point: there is nothing in the multilateral agreement of subsidies...
