Hyundai Merchant Marine may sell businesses

Brussels, 29/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the Swedish maritime company Wallenius Lines and Norwegian Wilhelmsen to take over the Korean Hyunday Merchant Marine's car carrier business. The transaction threatened competition in the car carrying business between Europe and the Middle East and could have led to a price increase. That is why the parties proposed pulling out of the "Walnyk" Shipping Conference, created by Wallenius, Wilhelsem and Nippon Ysen...
