Brussels, 08/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday the Parliament and Council succeeded to reach an agreement on a European directive which will compel Member States to facilitate public access to environmental information held by the public authorities. This will be a step towards ratification of the international Aarhus Convention.
