Brussels, 08/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - By adopting a common resolution of the EPP-ED, PES and ELDR groups on the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organisation (KEDO), the European Parliament is effectively requesting North Korea to respect, at its earliest convenience, its commitments to nuclear non-proliferation and proceed (in a way that can be checked) to the dismantling of its uranium enrichment programme.
