16/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Council has also approved: 1) mandates for the Europol Director to negotiate co-operation agreements with Canada, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Lithuania; 2) conclusions on electronic information exchange between police forces in Member States: they are only committed to consider the adoption of a binding instrument on the basis of a study that Denmark will perform; 3) participation of candidate countries in external border management projects; 4) a recommendation aimed at preparing a decision for authorising the Commission to negotiate anew recognition agreement and application of legal decisions in civil and trade affairs with Iceland, Norway, Poland and Finland.
