Commission authorises four deals

Brussels, 14/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the following deals:

  • The acquisition of the French distance sales company, Guilbert, by the US office supplies company, Staples;

  • The acquisition of Fairchild by its US compatriot Alcoa (aluminium) in the fixation sector

  • The acquisition of the electric equipment company, Legrand, by investment companies Wendel and KKR

  • A multifaceted deal in the Swedish waste management sector.
