Brussels, 18/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - Annual inflation of the countries of the euro zone stood at 2.1% in August, up slightly on July (1.9%), according to estimates published by Eurostat. In the EU15 it went from 1.8% to 1.9%. The highest rates were in Ireland (4.5%), Portugal (3.9%), Greece and the Netherlands (3.8% each), while the lowest rates were in Germany and the United Kingdom (1.0% each) and Belgium (1.3%).
