Brussels, 18/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is "not likely" to soon propose a date for opening negotiations with Turkey, the Director General for Enlargement at the European Commission, Eneko Landaburu, said on Tuesday evening, addressing students in Brussels. He said he feared a "major crisis" between the EU and Turkey at the Summit on 12 and 13 December. "We still have not drawn definitive conclusions, but (…) we shall probably not be proposing a date for beginning...
