18/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - Enrique Baron, president of the European Parliament's Socialist Group, said in a press release that Iraq's agreement to a mission of UN arms inspectors was "welcome proof of the capacity of the UN to defuse a situation which is potentially dangerous to peace in the Middle East and to world stability".
