Harmonisation and strengthening of measures regarding energy performance in new and existing buildings

Brussels, 18/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's energy committee unanimously adopted the recommendation for second reading by Alejo Vidal-Quadras Roca (Spanish, EPP/ED) relating to the Council's common position on the directive on the energy performance of buildings. The report is to be voted on at the plenary session in Brussels on 10 and 11 October.

The aim of the proposal is to provide a legal framework complementing and strengthening national measures in force...
