Brussels, 03/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Monday evening Russia presented the European Commission and the Danish Presidency with a detailed and highly detailed version of its recent compromise proposal (outlined in the Russian President, Vladimir Putin's letter to President Romano Prodi and the EU heads of state and government last week) with a view to solving the problem of transit to and from the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad once Poland and Lithuania join the EU.
