03/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Luxembourg Antenna of the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) is organising a seminar in Luxembourg on 30 September and 1 October on "EU Consumer Lax and the Development of European Civil Law" aimed at judges, lawyers, national and EU civil servants, consumer organisations and academics. The seminar will focus on the link between EU consumer law and civil law, and will seek to answer the question "of whether or not EU consumer law will be able to provide … a foundation .. of an eventual European Civil Code" indicates a press release, adding that the seminar will also deal with the dangers of going minimalist.
