Brussels, 03/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the British insurance company Legal & General to take joint control of IWP Household, a subsidiary specialised in the manufacture, marketing and sale of household products and industrial cleaning and hygiene products, from the British group IWP International which hitherto held all the capital. Legal & General holds a controlling stake in CPL Industries, a company that also distributes three products also provided by IWP Household, in this case the sale of charcoal, ignition products and fire logs. The impact on competition will remain very limited, says the Commission.
