Brussels, 29/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - the European Commission has cleared a joint venture between French cosmetic giant L'Oréal and Swiss agri-food giant Nestlé. The new company will be active in food products with cosmetic purposes. After a preliminary investigation the European Commission found that the deal would not have any impact on competition since neither company is involved in the sector at present and also because of the existence of strong competitors.
