Brussels, 19/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - A "ministerial level" meeting will take place between the European Union and Mercosur (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay) on 22-24 July in Rio de Janeiro to assess negotiations for a free-trade agreement between the two regions, which for the moment, remains a dead-letter. The European Union will be represented by Trade Commissioner, Pascal Lamy and Commissioner for External Relations, Chris Patten. The Presidency of the Council and Member States...
