Commission decides to set up group to write Communication on industrial policy for end of 2002

Brussels, 11/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - After its seminar on industrial policy (see Europe of 10 July, p.8), the European Commission decided on Wednesday to set up a pilot group to write a Communication on industrial policy for the end of the year. A Commission spokesperson said the group would be made up of the main Commissioners concerned (Lamy (trade), Liikanen (enterprise) and Monti (competition), and possibly others too) and probably their Director Generals.
