Informal Ministerial meeting with candidate countries, Commission and Presidency of the Council on 12 July

Brussels, 11/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - Environment Ministers from 13 Candidate Countries MET ON Friday at the Charlemagne Building in Brussels for their annual informal meeting with Environment Commissioner Margot Wallström and Mr Hans Christian Schmidt, President of the Environment Council.

The focal point for the discussions will be the EU strategy for sustainable development. Ministers will address both global and internal aspects of this strategy. On the internal side, the meeting will...
