09/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The UK's Food Safety Agency said on Monday that it would be carrying out tests to determine whether frozen chicken imported from Thailand and Brazil has been treated with beef protein in the Netherlands and therefore likely to be carrying the mad cow prion. In December 2001, the FSA discovered traced of pig DNA in chicken breast imports. The Irish food agency announced in May 2001 that it had discovered traced of beef DNA in Dutch chicken.
