20 million euro loan for Tunisian cement sector

Luxembourg, 31/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) is to grant a 20 million euro loan to the company Ciments Artificiels Tunisiens (CAT) for the modernisation and expansion of it cement production plant of Ben Arous, in Greater Tunis. CAT was bought by the Italian firm Colacem in 2000. The operation being financed, by reducing operating costs and increasing production, will enable the plant's efficiency to be increased, while improving its environmental...
