TELEFONICA MOVILES, mobile phone subsidiary of Spain's TELEFONICA, has signed a definitive agreement for the acquisition from SPRINT CORPORATION, LEAP WIRELESS and other foreign investors, of a 65% stake in the Mexican firm PEGASO PCS. The transaction amounts to $87 million, to which must be added a large debt of $1.2 bn.
