07/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - Andrew Duff, Vice-President of the EU/Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee at the European Parliament, has been on visit to Dyarbakier in South East Turkey since Tuesday, where, with a delegation of the EP, he is meeting leaders of the mainly Kurdish party, Hadep. A press release notes that the visit was organised following an attempt to ban the Hadep, and Mr Duff said before his departure that Turkey, if it wants to join the EU, "will have to improve its record...
