26/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission will be organising a conference on the Europe-Africa partnership for clinical tests, on 19-20 April in Barcelona. This is part of the updating of new medicines and vaccines linked to poverty. This programme focuses on AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis. EUR 200 million will be made available in the next framework programme. Commissioner Philippe Busquin and the Spanish Minister for Science, Anna Birculés, will be participating at the event.
