Joint Assembly asks EU to reconsider Haitian case and take account of the needs of the people

Cape Town, 26/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - By adopting a resolution on the Caribbean, the Joint Parliamentary Assembly of the ACP/EU has demonstrated its support for the Caricom Presidency, which has been making concerted efforts to diffuse the political crisis in Trinidad, Tobago and Haiti. The Assembly has also asked the European Commission to help countries suffering from the crisis in tourism.
