COPA and COGECA voice satisfaction at Council compromise on tobacco aid scheme

Brussels, 26/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Committee of Agricultural Organisations in the European Union (COPA) and the General Committee for Agricultural Co-operation in the European Union (COGECA) reacted positively to the political agreement reached on Monday evening by the Agriculture Ministers concerning the aid and production quota scheme for tobacco leaves, to extend the scheme for three years to allow time for discussions on far-reaching reform of the industry (see EUROPE of 20...
