13/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Swedish Government has initiated a consultation, to end mid-September, on the reforms necessary should Sweden adopt the euro. Swedish Prime Minister Goran Persson said end-2001 that the leaders of Swedish parties could meet to launch a referendum on Sweden's participation in the euro, after the 15 September elections. Such a referendum would not be held before March 2003.
