America's PHARMACIA is to sell its 45% stake in the Swedish biotechnology company AMERSHAM BIOSCIENCES to its British partner AMERSHAM, for 1 bn dollars. AMERSHAM now holds all the capital in the company that had a turnover in 2001 of $860 million, with 4,500 employees.
