04/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - A press release indicates that Akhmed Zakaev, Deputy Prime Minister, and Ilyas Adkmadov, Foreign Minister of the Chcchen government of President Mashkadov, have asked MEP Olivier Dupuis to end his hunger strike, that he began to put pressure on the EP to take action to stop the "genocide that is being carried out in Chechnya".
