Commission to inform EU importers on Friday of risks associated with Israeli certificates of origin

Brussels, 22/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission will publish an information note on Friday recommending EU importers and customs authorities to take precautionary measures vis-à-vis Israeli certificates of origin, in the form of deposing a guarantee. The Commission will inform importers about its doubts concerning products from settlements on the West Bank, the Gaza strip, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights.
