DEUTSCHE TELEKOM has taken control of Croatian operator HT - HRVATSKI TELEKOM (annual turnover 763 millions Euro in 2000, employing a workforce of 11,000 with 1.8 million subscriptions) acquiring a 51% stake in the company. The German operator, which already a 35% stake in the Croatian group, acquired 16% more stock for 500 million Euro, most of which had been held by the Croatian state.
