THE DAY IN POLITICS / (eu) ep/sahara

29/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - A delegation from the European Parliament, led by French Socialist, Catherine Lalumière, travelled to western Sahara to visit the Western Saharan refugee camps and hold talks with Polisario on the implementation of UN decisions on a regulation concerning the Algerian-Moroccan disagreement on Western Saharan independence. Similar contacts took place last January in Morocco.
