BRITISH AIRWAYS and KLM are again around the negotiating table on the subject of a possible alliance to reduce costs, which could open the way to a merger. Last year, both companies had conducted negotiations with a view to forming a partnership, but nothing came of it (see, inter alia, EI of 23 September 2000).
