Commission adopts strategy for regional co-operation and sets out priorities for Cards aid programme for Balkans

Brussels, 22/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the European Commission adopted a strategy document for promoting regional co-operation in the Western Balkans. This text, and the strategy plans that the Commission is preparing for each of the beneficiary countries (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Yugoslavia and Macedonia), provide details on the implementation of the 2000-2006 aid programme for the Western Balkans, the Cards programme, with a budget of 4.65 billion euro for the...
