CEREOL, the world leader for food oil, has accepted the improved takeover bid by Spanish SOS CUETARA. The latter had upped its initial offer by 18.5%, from 27 to 32 euros per share, that is, 415 million in total. CEREOL, which holds 51.24% of KOIPE (turnover EUR 480.5 million in 2000) has "irrevocably" undertaken to accept the bid and to sell all its shares.
