17/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Director of the research programme on the environment in the European Commission, Christian Patermann, and the Deputy Director of the National Science Foundation of the United States, Margaret Leinen, signed an agreement for implementing transatlantic co-operation in research into the following sectors: climate change; - marine sciences and technologies; - seismic risks; - arctic research; - environmental biology.
