17/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, Poland announced its intention to lift the embargo on imports of live pigs from France, the Netherlands and Portugal. These restrictive measures had been taken during the summer to prevent the risk of swine fever contamination. The embargo is maintained, however, for imports from Germany and Spain as well as from Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.
