ECB decides on Thursday to leave interest rates unchanged and to increase liquid assets by EUR 40 billion

Brussels, 13/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB) decided on Thursday to maintain its key rates unchanged, which demonstrates the ECB's determination not to react in a hasty way to the consequences of the series of attacks on the United States (see yesterday's EUROPE, pp.8/9).
