Procedures against Germany and Ireland for failure to respect "priorities" of Directive on waste oils

Brussels, 31/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the European Commission decided to send Germany a motivated opinion calling upon it to conform with a ruling by the Court of Justice concerning the Directive on waste oils. This ruling from September 1998 states that Germany must ensure that waste oils be regenerated (recycled) rather than eliminated. If it does not conform to this demand within a six-month period, the Commission may refer to the Court and call for Germany to receive daily...
