31/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - In the fight against animal diseases of which some are transmissible to man (such as salmonella), the Commissions should approve, this Wednesday, a report (epidemiological situation concerning animal diseases in 1999) accompanied by two proposals aiming to modify the 1992 Directive (improvement of monitoring systems and early warning systems) and a regulation (monitoring and eradication of animal diseases).
