Brussels, 11/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - At the 5th round of negotiations over an EU/Chile free-trade agreement, in Santiago this week, the European Union presented Chile an offer for trade liberalisation over ten years, covering 93% of trade in agriculture, all industrial trade and 72% for fisheries products. Sensitive agricultural products, like mutton and chicken, would be subjected to quotas. EUROPE will return to this tomorrow.
